Professional counseling at Lucent is a collaborative, relational process. Your clinician brings training, care, and evidence-based tools; you bring the lived experience only you understand. Together, we work toward healing, insight, and meaningful change.

How we work

We meet you where you are. Some people come with a specific challenge they'd like to work through. Others come because they feel stuck, or disconnected, or simply want to live more fully. There is no wrong reason to start therapy.

We have a lot of tools in our toolbox and recognize that, of all the interventions used, the relationship that we develop with a client is the most important element.

Our style is relational and person-centered; interventions are guided by the collaborative client-counselor relationship. We offer neuro-affirming, trauma informed, and culturally sensitive outpatient counseling (psychotherapy) services for adolescents, adults and groups experiencing:

  • Trauma, abuse or relational harm
  • Grief and loss
  • Emotion Dysregulation
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Challenging life transitions
  • Situational stressors
  • Psychedelic experiences
  • Non ordinary states of consciousness
  • End of life / Existential anxiety
  • Neurodivergence

What to expect

Your first session is a chance to meet your clinician, share a bit about what's bringing you in, and ask questions. We'll talk about goals, logistics, and how we might work together. There's no pressure and no commitment to continue.

Ongoing sessions typically run 53-60 minutes. Frequency varies based on your needs and goals.
