Our Support Staff

Our pets aren't official therapy or service animals, but they are a big part of our lives and our grounding routines. We invite you to meet the furry companions who keep us smiling and occasionally make guest appearances during telehealth sessions.

  • Tobey, a German Shepherd, lounging on a bed and looking at the camera

    Tobey F. Bigenho, GSD

    Emotional Support Staff

Tobey is an expert on emotional attunement, joy, present moment awareness, ball, and frisbee. He provides much needed respite by way of enthusiastic greetings, well-timed sighs, and the occasional nap under the desk.

  • Bootsy, a gray-and-white French bulldog, smiling on the grass

    Bootsy Frost

    Emotional Support Staff

Meet Bootsy, named after the legendary bassist Bootsy Collins. True to his funky namesake, Bootsy has a deep love for humans of all ages and backgrounds. He holds court from the nearest couch cushion and has never met a belly rub he didn't like.

  • Gus, a white pitbull, looking at the camera

    Gus "Good Boy" Ballantine

    LPC (Licensed Pitbull Counselor)

Gus is a compassionate, client-centered frisbee chaser. He specializes in anxiety, emotional regulation, and snack-based motivational interviewing. With over 7 years of experience staring deeply into people's souls while sitting directly on their feet, Gus creates a warm, judgment-free environment where healing can happen...especially if you happen to have cheese. Gus believes every person deserves unconditional positive regard, a safe place to land, and at least one enthusiastic greeting per day.

  • Sunshine, an all-black cat, and BartholoMew, a black-and-white tuxedo cat, perched together on a sunny windowsill

    Sunshine and BartholoMew

    Emotional Support Staff

Sunshine (back) and BartholoMew (front) are a team who work on a part time, as needed basis. They set a good example of a healthy sibling relationship by playing, challenging, and learning from each other. BartholoMew has been teaching Sunshine to find his voice, and Sunshine has been teaching BartholoMew to rip up the kitchen floor to bury the remains of his meal. Sunshine provides excellent emotional support and occasionally acts as co-therapist with his mom. BartholoMew prefers to be near his humans, rather than on them. He demonstrates self-care and honoring one's own boundaries.
