Insurance, fees, and payment
How insurance, self-pay, and sliding-scale options work at Lucent Counseling.
Insurance
We accept a range of commercial insurance plans. Because plans and networks change, the best way to know what's covered for you is to reach out directly — we'll help you understand what your plan covers, what your out-of-pocket costs might look like, and whether an out-of-network reimbursement is an option.
Self-pay and sliding scale
We also offer private-pay options for clients who don't want to use insurance, or whose plans aren't a good fit. A sliding scale is available for clients who need it — reach out and we'll talk through the options honestly.
Cancellation policy
We ask for 24 hours' notice for cancellations when possible. Life happens — let us know what's going on and we'll work it out together.
Payment
We accept major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and most standard forms of payment. Payment is handled securely through our practice management system.
